A YouTube (GOOG,
GOOGL)
spokesperson says the service will no longer be supported on
Amazon’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) Echo Show and Fire TV due to a lack of
reciprocity.
The spokesperson notes that Amazon doesn’t carry the
Chromecast and Google Home or make Prime Video available on Chromecast. Amazon
also pulled Nest products last month after YouTube initially pulled from the
Show before its brief return.
Echo Show users will lose YouTube today while FireTV
users have until the first of the year.
