 Center it.

For the best coverage, make sure your router
is in a central location in your home.

Give it space.

Place the router away from electronic devices
when possible. And position it in an open area
of your house where you can see most of
the rooms.

Lift it up.

Wi-Fi signals tend to flow downward, so don’t
place the router on the floor.

Turn off connections.

Turn off Wi-Fi connections to other devices
when they’re not in use to free up more
bandwidth and increase speed.

Run faster.

Newer-model routers can
help deliver the most speed,
especially if you’re
connecting wirelessly.
